[Zoom] Smart defaults A/B test
Adding a default option increased the conversions in this A/B test.
Password examples to avoid
The first one is funny and I found it as a screenshot (I believe that it is a joke), while the 2nd one is live in a platform that I currently use.
[Revolut] Experimental features
Revolut introduced a campaign where the user is able to try exclusively new features before they launch.
[YouTube Premium] Experimental features
Premium members can try out new features for a limited time.
[Tesla] Video in login screen
Video in the login page of Tesla app.
[reCAPTCHA] Let users train AI models
CAPTCHA and reCAPTCHA is a service by Google that helps protect websites from spam and abuse. In parallel, they train AI models and turn images into text.
[Social media] Back button as reload
In many main social media (except Twitter), when you're in news feed and press back button (in Android) it reloads the news feed instead of going back or exiting the app.
It's a clever way to try to keep the user within the app.
[Miro] Login screen with multiple login methods
I’ve never seen a login screen with more signup methods in this seamless way.
[Instagram] Experiment with stories that were uploaded 1second ago
An experiment that I’ve seen before in IG. They change all (or the biggest proportion) of stories implying that a story was uploaded 1 second ago (check the image).
Do they want to instill the essence of “live” or is there any different reason?
[Instagram] Broadcast channels: An interesting way to introduce new features and get user feedback
[LinkedIn] AI collaborative articles
A new initiative by LinkedIn where AI creates an article in a topic, professionals add their feedback and other professionals upvote or downvote feedback.
- Prompt on news feed
- Add input
- Enter into the AI collaborative article
- Rate the article
- CTA to add perspective, plus you can see other upvotes
- Feedback on article rating
[Instagram] Is Notes a feature that failed?
Its adoption is disappointing but I know that it’s rollout haven’t finished yet. I believe that this feature failed to deliver its mission.
[LinkedIn] Following an external link
Most of social media platform nowadays provide a warning message every time you are about to leave their platform. There is no platform that is happy when you leave it but this message feels like a safety warning as well, due to its copy.
[Merge] Personalizing website based on UTMs
I opened Merge website from an email that I got from Lenny Ratchisky’s blog. Here is what I saw:
[Substack] Recommend additional subscriptions
When you subscribe to a substack newsletter, it automatically recommends you additional (and relevant) newsletters to subscribe, to increase your stickiness to the platform.
